Cape Point Beauties

For my friends birthday she organized a two-day hike in the Cape Point National Park- BRILLIANT IDEA. It was so incredibly beautiful, and the smell of the fynbos was over whelming!

I couldn't get enough of these pin cushion protea- NO idea what the correct name is.  They just looked like blobs of sunshine!

Another rough day in Africa.... It was amazing to sit there knowing I was at the bottom of of a whole continent inside a reserve, watching a most amazing sunset with great friends.  We have our problems, but times like this gives us a reason to make things better through our attitude to it I think.

Wedding Season!!!!

Aaah! That wonderful time of year is upon us again when everyone decides to throw a huge shindig and celebrate their love!  I have two beautiful friends who are getting married and so through all the trawlings for ideas and inspiration I stumbled across a beautiful blog green wedding shoes which just makes you want to throw a wedding. Just because they make me happy...

 

There's no real them or anything here, but I do love the way these photos convey such vivid feelings.  How excited and scared do those kids look at the puppet show?! Isn't it wonderful how at some stage in our lives we were so innocent and completely enthrawled by fantasy. No real worries, no responsibilities, just the freedom to be a child and all you had to do was be loved and use your imagination.  And then there's Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward- aaah!Do I even need to say it- a love story!
Anyway, after a rather dismal  Monday, I feel a lot better!
